How to Win Lindens (L$) in Second Life

What does “winning Lindens” mean?

Lindens (written L$) are the currency of Second Life. Many in-world games pay prizes in L$ directly to your avatar when you win, so a prize is real, spendable Second Life money — you can buy items, pay for land tiers or tip other residents with it.

Prize games are run by Second Life residents, not by Linden Lab. Rules, odds and payouts differ per game, so always read the rules shown on the game object before you play.

Step-by-step: win your first L$

You only need a Second Life account and the Second Life viewer installed.

• Create a free Teleport2Play account with your email and exact Second Life avatar name.
• Wait for approval (usually within 24 hours).
• Open the live Ca$h Balloons dashboard and sort by pot size or player count.
• Click Teleport — the Second Life viewer opens and takes your avatar to the balloon.
• Follow the on-object instructions and play. If you win, the L$ is paid straight to your avatar.

How to improve your chances

Look for balloons that are online right now, compare the pot with the number of players already there, and check a balloon’s rules before you commit time to it. Playing regularly and following new locations gives you more opportunities than waiting for one big pot.

No game can guarantee a win — treat prizes as a bonus on top of having fun, never as income you rely on.

Frequently asked questions

Can you really win real Lindens in Second Life?

Yes. Prize games in Second Life pay L$ directly to the winner’s avatar. Teleport2Play helps you find active games and teleport to them, but each game is run by its owner and has its own rules.

Is it free to play and win L$?

Teleport2Play is free. Individual in-world games may have their own rules; Ca$h Balloons listed on Teleport2Play are designed so you can take part without paying to join.

How fast can I get to a game?

One click. The Teleport button opens a SLURL in your Second Life viewer and your avatar is taken to the exact spot.
